A Month Before a Stroke…

A transient ischemic attack (TIA), or “mini-stroke,” occurs when blood flow to the brain is briefly blocked, causing temporary stroke-like symptoms. TIAs are serious and should always be treated as emergencies.

Common early stroke warning signs include: Numbness or weakness on one side of the body,Trouble speaking or understanding, or slurred speech,Sudden vision loss or blurriness,Dizziness or balance issues.These symptoms may seem mild but require immediate medical attention. To prepare for a stroke, manage health conditions like high blood pressure and cholesterol, identify the nearest stroke center, and keep an updated medication list. Recognizing early signs and being prepared can help prevent serious health issues.
