Country singer Jason “Sundance” Head, known for winning season 11 of The Voice in 2016, was involved in a shooting accident on his Texas ranch on November 15, 2024. While retrieving his .22 caliber firearm from his vehicle,
the gun accidentally discharged, resulting in a gunshot wound to his abdomen, At the time of the incident, Head was alone and without his phone. He managed to reach a main road where he flagged down a passing motorist for assistance. Emergency services were contacted, and he was subsequently airlifted to a hospital in Tyler, Texas
