the $2 bill was redesigned in 1869 to feature Thomas Jefferson. While historically unpopular due to superstitions, certain older $2 bills can fetch thousands at auctions. Bills from 1862-1896 with red, brown, or blue seals may be worth up to $5,000, while those from 1917-1928 can range from $50 to $1,000. Some bills with “fancy serial numbers” can even be worth as much as $6,000.So, don’t overlook your $2 bills—they might just be worth a fortune!
